COME JOIN ME on some memorable journeys to faraway places. Some posts are complete stories, others no more than descriptive paragraphs. Here, in words, pictures and videos are some classic travel adventures.
You may have just retired and have more time to spare. You may have just left school, worked a bit and have some cash burning a hole in your pocket. You may just be dreaming of jetting away to someplace special. Your travel guide has lived all over - in Sydney, Australia; in Frankfurt, Germany; in Madrid, Spain; in London, England and in Toronto, Canada. And over the years, I've packed my bag and explored the world - from Tanzania to Turkey to Tahiti. I've worked in the travel industry, too - with airlines like TWA and British Airways and, more recently, as a travel writer for international media. I've always journeyed with a sense of wonder, ready to explore and open to new and unexpected experiences. It's been fun. And fulfilling.
It's time now to share some of those travel memories with you and pass on information you'll need to make your journey pleasant and trouble-free. You'll find destinations and links here, from personal files and from many other sources. And if you'd like to get in touch, I'm Tony, at concerto@internode.on.net
Bon Voyage!

There are puppets and there are puppets and then there are the Bunraku puppets you find in Japan - almost life-size, in spectacular costumes and manipulated (by virtually unseen hands) with style and panache. Be sure to see them when you arrive in Japan. You can see them here, too:
